American Thinker is a conservative daily online magazine dealing with American politics, foreign policy, national security, Israel, economics, diplomacy, culture and military strategy.[2][3]

Writing in The New York Times, Felicity Barringer credited American Thinker with initiating a public outcry over a California plan to require programmable thermostats which could be controlled by officials in the event of power supply difficulties.[4] In a 2011 article entitled "Registering the Poor to Vote is Un-American", the magazine argued against voter registration for poor people.[5]
